I was browsing in an op shop the other day and happened to find some 1970's magazines that I couldn't resist. Some were from my birth year which I immediately bought, but then I returned to buy some others today.
I decided to make a bangle with some of the pretty floral prints from ad pages.
I have found some great articles too which I may share with you, but for now it is getting late, and my present for today (40 days of treats) is to watch a 1973 movie whilst eating 1970's snacks. :-)

What a clever idea!! Why don't I ever think of things like that? Love the bracelet, good job...what did you use for a base to glue the paper on? Cardboard?
ReplyDeleteThat was a wonderful find, too. I love to find old magazines in thrift shops...I'm a sucker for them, lol.
Joyce...who will now prove that she is NOT a robot...again!
Lots of fun reading the magazines. Kniting patterns abound! I used an old wooden bangle from the op shop for my base Joyce. Cheating? :-)
DeleteNah, I don't think it's cheating at all. The whole point of making your bangle was the decorative part of it, using the magazine pages. And besides, you have to have a base to glue the pages on , no matter what it is!!!
