Day 307 - A birthday card

A birthday card for a friend whose 40th we are celebrating today.

Day 258 - Christmas card tree.

I apologise for the frenzy of Christmas related posts, but once I get on a theme the ideas keep coming, so today I made a Christmas card holder using old twigs from the bush around our house. I added a couple of book page paper lanterns and a few other bits and pieces for colour.

And here is Ms J opening the first treasure on the advent calendar this morning.

Day 243 - Little golden book cover wedding card

I had this empty book cover from my little golden book bunting, in quite good condition, so it ended up being used to make a wedding card for tomorrow. I didn't start off intending to use it, but I didn't have any other cardboard the right size and it ended up being just perfect for the job.

Juliet and I had a little craft workshop going on the dining table. She had her bead case out.

I cut out the outfits.

Decided to use the book cover.

Glued on some fabric. I'm down to a couple of scraps of this gorgeous fabric.

Added the details.

Then onto the inside of the card.

I glued some fabric on the inside and mixed some glue with a bit of fabric paint to do a light covering of the white fabric.

Added a little bit of glitter. Why not?

All ready for tomorrow now. :-)

Day 219 - Birthday card for a one year old

There was a half day stop work action for teachers today so we decided to take the whole day off and drive to Melbourne and see my Mum, sister inlaw, nephews and my Nan (93 years old by the way). We went to a little farm in the city which is near where my Nan lives. Ironic really to visit a farm in Melbourne when we live on 7.5 acres surrounded by farms, but we had a great time. Little A particularly loved the tractor ride.

I returned home with very little energy to spare and decided to make a little card for a first birthday we have coming up.

I'm too tired to explain, so I'm going to tell the story with pictures. Hope you have all had a fantastic day, and thankyou to the new people who have recently visited and linked up to my blog.

I thought I'd also share something with you about my 5 yo Juliet. I bought this book for her during the school holidays. She has bookmarked all the things she wants to make. There are 50 crafts and I counted 39 bookmarks. :-) Taking after her mum much? It gave me a laugh when I saw it.

Day 62 - Vintage 1972

There is something happening in our house this week. I am going to be very busy!
